Comment: The 500mm constant aperture prime was the weakest lens in the previous generation of Nikkor telephoto primes, but it was also the one with the best weight to focal length ratio. Nikon managed to maintain that unique characteristic while at the same time significantly improving the optical performance across the board in all but one minor category. Not just photographers shooting the previous version will take a good look at this excellent, comparatively lightweight super tele prime. Highly recommended. Badges: |
